A Family Home—Simplified & Modernized

One of our biggest transformations of 2021 & 2022 was this beautiful home in Rogers, AR. We were contacted by a sweet family that wanted to raise the “design” bar in their home. They wanted to upgrade by bringing a more modern, light, fresh, and minimal feel to their entire house. We worked with them to build custom spaces with character and beauty. Leading this breathtaking transformation was our very own Founder and CEO, Aubrey.

We asked Aubrey to share some thoughts about her experience with this project. The before and after photos are incredible!

New & Fresh

What were the client’s overall goals for their space?

“They had a very clean, organic, minimal and neutral aesthetic. They are very active on social media and wanted it to photograph well. And they wanted their home to feel new and fresh.”

I think we should start by showing the before and after of the kitchen! The style of the kitchen really elevated its appeal and made it feel bigger! Everything from that beautiful hood range to those pristine counter tops are exquisite. The pop of dark color on the island helps to create interest in this space without the room feeling too dark.

Layout Changes

What room had the biggest transformation?

“The most transformed room would probably be the laundry room. We completely changed the layout!”

It was definitely re-envisioned! This space became multifunctional with its new layout. Lots of storage, space for all of their laundry needs and even room for a fridge. The contrast of the black hex flooring really compliments the light and minimalist color scheme.

Massive Impact

What was one of the more challenging aspects of this project?

“The clients almost didn’t redo the floors.”

When they did decide to go for it, even the best flooring installation teams in the area had never done the herringbone style throughout a whole home. It was a very difficult and technical installation, but the results made a massive impact on the final style of the home! The floors tie the whole thing together and are even more stunning in person than in the photos. They are gorgeous!

Details Matter

What was one special item or room in the design process?

Her mom gifted the family a custom piece of art as a surprise, for the entry. It was a small thing but really fun! Also, the hook in the bedroom was for her hats, but it doubled as a decor piece in the room.”

The thoughtful gift from family is something this client will carry with them forever. We loved that her mother reached out to us and asked to be a part of the process. Finding a functional hat hook that also appeared as an art accessory in the master bedroom is a brilliant way to combine function with beauty. The bedroom transformation has us awestruck. Those really fun hanging bedside lights definitely added that personal character that feels unique.

Stay Awhile

What room would you choose to spend the most time in, at this home?

“I think probably the office, it has a super cool bourbon closet that we made for his personal collection. The seating by the turret windows is inviting. The room has eye catching but soothing colors.”

This office upgrade was hands-down the most eye catching. The bourbon collection display nook feels very sophisticated, and is such a unique feature in a home office!
